David Goodrich is a composer, instrumentalist (from guitar to piano to diddley-bow), producer, sports fan, croquet ace, bon vivant, and admirer of fine cuisine. For all these reasons and more it's lovely to have him as a neighbor out here in Western Mass, and as a bandmate in Redbird. Goody is pretty much the one who gave the Redbird record most of whatever interestingness it might posess. He knows more notes than the rest of us put together and (more importantly) when and how to play them. 

The list of musical stuff Goody's been involved with is huge, but a few relevant highlights are: he produced and played on most of Peter's records (not to mention that he co-wrote a bunch of the songs); he produced and played on Jeffrey's second record Stripping Cane; he produced and played on the two most recent Chris Smither records; AND he's made several solo instrumental records of his own which are brilliant & beautiful. So what's not to like?
