Jeff is also from Wisconsin, although we have managed (barely) to import him to the east coast for the time being. He writes spare, beautiful songs that seem to come right up from the earth's core. In addition, he is a genius at catching trout, although it must be said that he is genetically not very good at cribbage. All in all, he could easily be considered husband material for someone who enjoys good songs, fresh trout, and winning at cards.
I got to sing on Jeff's two most recent records, the very spacious and late-nighty Stripping Cane, and the newest one, Ghost Repeater, a great full-band affair which was produced by Bo Ramsey and features his strangely perfect guitar playing. Irish people like it, small children like it, famous people like it, there's an excellent chance that you will like it too.
